Audio Commentary

These audio recordings were made to be downloaded and then listened to, at the site of each historical marker installed in Lincoln Park as part of this project. The recordings provide commentary about each signpost marker's location. If played continuously, the audio accompanies a one-hour tour of the early cemetery grounds on Chicago's lakeshore.

The back of each historical marker shows an illustration of an 1863 map of the Chicago City Cemetery. All marker locations are shown with a white dot, and each individual marker's location is noted with a red you are here dot.
