| These audio recordings were made to be downloaded and then listened to, at the site of each historical marker installed in Lincoln Park as part of this project. The recordings provide commentary about each signpost marker's location. If played continuously, the audio accompanies a one-hour tour of the early cemetery grounds on Chicago's lakeshore. The markers will be exhibited in Lincoln Park from May 21 through November 21, 2008. Update: The Chicago Park District has approved a proposal to allow the historical markers to remain in Lincoln Park for an additional twelve months. The temporary on-site portion of this project will remain on display until November 2009. |
